2018 Access Easter appeal a huge success

08 April 2018

We’re thrilled to announce that our 2018 #AccessEasterAppeal was a huge success! Thanks to you, our generous customers and supporters, we were able to put lots of smiles on the faces of those less fortunate than us this Easter.

Our annual Easter appeal aims to collect as many eggs as possible to donate to charities around the UK. This is the sixth year of the appeal and we’re delighted to have received 1163 eggs! Amazing, right?

This brings the total number of eggs donated over the lifetime of the campaign to more than 4,900!

This year, Access Self Storage Basingstoke lead the charge having collected over 350 eggs for the North Hampshire Medical Fund.

Meanwhile, Access Self Storage Cheam, Access Self Storage Croydon Purley Way and Access Self Storage Sutton together collected 170 eggs for The Children’s Trust. These donations went a long way to spread some cheer this Easter.

Our other stores weren’t far behind. Access Self Storage Manchester collected 125 eggs for The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust, while Access Self Storage Portsmouth received 112 donations. This store’s eggs went to Rowan’s Hospice.

But our customers’ generosity didn’t end there! Thanks to your support, Access Self Storage Southampton was able to donate 100 eggs to The Rainbow Centre and Access Self Storage Mitcham dropped 108 eggs off at The Salvation Army.

Other stores that collected a notable number of Easter eggs include Access Self Storage Balham and Access Self Storage Battersea that together collected 70 eggs for St George’s Hospital Charity. These eggs were handed out to patients in the Jungle Ward.

Meanwhile Access Self Storage Stevenage collected 43 eggs for Stevenage Haven and Access Self Storage Islington and Access Self Storage Kings Cross collected 30 eggs for Hackney Food Bank.

Our spokesperson Kevin Pratt comments: “We are extremely pleased with how this year’s campaign turned out – it was one of our best campaigns ever! I was once again amazed by the generosity of people who came through to our stores to drop off their donations even in the snow and freezing cold.”

Thank you to everyone who donated and helped us make a difference in the lives of others this Easter. We hope you had a great holiday!
