Access Christmas Appeal Basingstoke 2022

• Staff at Access Self Storage Basingstoke have chosen to work with St Michael’s Hospice to be the beneficiary of this 2022 Christmas Appeal.
• Donations of candles and toiletry sets will be collected at Access Self Storage Basingstoke until the Friday 9th of December 2022.
• Over the past 8 years more than 4,500 donations have been collected for various charities and hospices across the United Kingdom.

St Michael's Hospice was established in 1991, their mission was simple, to offer a choice and understanding of the complex condition of the dying. Over the last 25 years, they have cared for over 12,500 patients and currently lead the provision of the highest quality of palliative care throughout North Hampshire. For this year's campaign, we are collecting donations to gift the nurses on the wards at the hospice to show them an appreciation for all their hard work – especially following the past couple of years.

These donations can make a difference, especially at Christmas, so every donation, large or small, will be welcomed by Access Self Storage Basingstoke. We hope that this year, we will return to the same level of donations given by generous locals – each store averaged at least 80 contributions. In the previous eight years that the campaign has been running, more than 18,500 gifts have been collected by Access Self Storage teams for dozens of UK charities.

Natalie Wiltshire, Community Engagement Manager at St Michael's Hospice said: "We are extremely grateful to Access Self Storage in Basingstoke for choosing to support St Michael's Hospice through their Christmas Appeal this year. It is a lovely gesture and fantastic to be able to compile some small hampers for our amazing staff, who will be working throughout the Christmas period to support the patients in our care. We receive only 15% government funding, so every donation, whether great all small, really does matter to ensure we can continue to be there for people with life-limiting conditions in our community."

We feel a huge sense of loyalty to this charity – which works tirelessly to support our community at the toughest stage in their lives. We hope this year will be our biggest yet!

All donations may be left at the reception of Access Self Storage Basingstoke, where they will be stored safely until they are delivered to St Michael's Hospice after Friday, the 9th of December 2022.
