About the store manager

James has been the store manager at Access Self Storage Bristol for 14 years and says that he couldn’t do it without the team, because they “make coming to work each day a joy!”.

In his spare time, James enjoys walking and is a big Chelsea FC fan. His favourite things about Bristol are the eye-catching street art, including some original works by Banksy, and the city's fascinating history.

James also values the area’s broad selection of independent coffee shops and restaurants. He suggests checking out North Street, which is just up the street from the Access store, and stopping for a bite at The Lounge or The Spotted Crow.

Clean, modern self storage unit rental in Bristol

Bristol has got it all - a colourful waterfront, graffiti-covered streets (it is Banksy’s hometown, after all) and one of the world’s coolest bridges. Bristol is a city as diverse as its inhabitants, and that’s why it attracts so many visitors every year. In fact, Bristol University has on average eight applications for every one place, making it one of the most popular universities in the UK. And where there are students parties and nightlife naturally follow – so you can guarantee that there’s always something going on. If you’re a student in Bristol and need to store a few things over summer, one of our flexible options will definitely fit the bill. Get in touch with our team, they’ll be more than happy to help.

The Clifton Suspension Bridge, spanning the picturesque Avon Gorge, is the symbol of the city of Bristol. For almost 150 years, this Grade I listed structure has attracted visitors from all over the world. The bridge, based on a design by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, joins Bristol and North Somerset and it has its own visitor centre in Leigh Woods. If you want a guide across the bridge, you’re in luck: free tours of the bridge take place at 3pm every Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday between Easter and October. There's no need to book, either - simply meet a volunteer guide at the Clifton toll booth.

Bristol is home to two well-supported football clubs, Bristol City FC who are based just down the road from our Bristol storage facility, at Ashton Gate stadium, and Bristol Rovers who play their home games a little further afield in the suburb of Horfield. While these two teams may not quite have the status of the country’s very top teams, derby games between them are always entertaining. If you’re a fan and you’ve collected a little too much memorabilia throughout the years, our secure storage space is the perfect place to keep everything safe. Our friendly staff are on hand to find the perfect solution for your storage needs.
