It’s that time of year again - shops are filling with Easter-themed treats and everyone is making plans for the long Easter weekend. As you’re filling up your cupboards with Easter eats and treats, we’d like to urge you to support us with some Easter egg donations.
To make this Easter a more joyful time for those in need, we are running our annual Easter Charity Appeal. We have dedicated storage units at many of our stores to this cause and will aim to fill these with as many Easter eggs as possible, which we will then distribute to local charities around the country in time for Easter.
Last year with your help, we collected 800 chocolate eggs that were given to ten charities across the UK. This year we’re challenging you to beat this figure. All you need to do is buy a couple of extra eggs next time you go grocery shopping and drop them off at a participating Access store before April 13th.
In 2016 the most generous regions donating to the Easter Egg Appeal were Guildford with 150 eggs, Camberley and Manchester with 122 eggs each, followed by Portsmouth with 76 eggs and Southampton with 75. We’re excited to see which store will collect the most this year!
Access Self Storage spokesperson Kevin Pratt says: “People are usually generous around Easter and we hope that, this year, even more people will consider doing something kind for those in need by supporting us with their Easter egg donations.
“We have dedicated storerooms allocated to donations at many of our stores, but now we need the public’s help to fill these up in time for Easter.
